3월 15일, 빈에서 있었던 [ ʻAʻā ] 전시의 오프닝, 보이스 퍼포먼스 실황 음원을 공개합니다.

메인 테마는 '천식Asthma'과 ‘염증/발화'.

저는 이 두 단어를 기본 모티프로 해서, 화산과 용암의 이미지와 접점을 발견한 후, 그러한 단어들을 음소분해하고, 용암의 운동성과 제 발성의 속도를 맞추고자 했습니다.

전시 제목이었던 [ʻAʻā]는 화산어 사전 제 1 표제어 이면서, 하와이 알파벳 중 하나인 '오키나' 로서, 화산의 폭발을 보고 너무 놀랐을 때 나오는 가장 첫 소리/발음입니다.

본 퍼포먼스에서 오키나의 소리는 주요 리듬 골격으로서 작동하고 있습니다.

그 날, RHOMBVS X MOIMOIROM은 '(이방인으로서) 차단된 몸'으로서, 전시장 한 가운데 놓인 작고 검은 상자 - 스피커로 존재했습니다.

이제, 들리는 몸 - 소리파편들의 관계, 미묘한 움직임 등에 귀 기울여 보세요.

새로운 감각의 문이, 조심스럽게 열릴 것입니다.

( +) 본 작업은 독일어/한국어/영어로 이루어졌으며, 소리는 모두 사람의 목소리로만 구성되어 있습니다.)

Here is a live recording of voice-performance for the opening of [ ʻAʻā ] exhibition,

on March 15th, in Wien.

The main themes is ‘Asthma’ and ‘Inflammation’.

I set these two words for basic motives, and found some points of contact with a volcano and lava.

Then, I broke up phonomes as segmental sounds and I tried to be attuned speed of my vocalization with motility of lavas.

[ʻAʻā], the title of this exhibition, is the first headword of a volano-word-dictionary, and the one of Hawaiian alphabet, ‘Okina’. This is the first sound/pronunciation facing the eruption of a volcano and being frightened.

In this performance, the ‘Okina’ sound functions as the basic form of rhythm.

That day, RHOMBVS X MOIMOIROM was a ’blocked body(as a stranger)’, so existed as a small black box - speaker in the middle of the stage(exhibition hall).

Now, please listen carefully... THE BODY, HEARD - the relationship between fragments of sound, and their exquisite movement.

Then, the doors of new class of sensation would be opened to you.
